Note   All clients MUST have Symantec pcAnywhere installed on their computers. This is part of the agreement when choosing GeeDee as your preferred Trust Account System.

Note   If you have had new computers or a new server please ensure you reinstall pcAnywhere or ask your IT person to reinstall as it is a requirement of our company.

Note   If you an old version of Symantec pcAnywhere it will not be compatiable with Windows 7 as such you would need to upgrade to version 12.5.

      Your IT company may be able to download this for you otherwise it can be purchased from us at $175inc. Download Order Form

 


Title - Remember Web Updates

Note   We recommend to do regular web updates preferrably weekly otherwise at least monthly.

Note   When the quarterly accounts are due you will be given daily reminders when logging into Geedee 2 weeks prior to the due date.

      Once you have paid this account please ensure you do a web update to import your slip files. Once you have done this web update this message will disappear.

Note   If the account has not been paid by the due date an override will be done to ensure all users still have access over the End of Period time frame.

      Again if you are getting this message please ensure you do the web update before you contact GeeDee. Geedee has not locked clients out of the system,

      you purely require a web update.

Title - end of year

tipbulb IMPORTANT! YOU MUST NOT PROCESS ANY 2013 TRANSACTIONS OR MAKE ANY CHANGES IN THE GEEDEE SYSTEM UNTIL THESE PROCEDURES ARE COMPLETED

Please Remember:

1.December may be the end of the Real Estate year but it is no different to any other Period End.
2.On the first working day of the new calendar year, you are required to print your Audit Reports for the calendar year close of business.
3.These reports MUST be printed before entering any data for the New Year.
4.Make a BACKUP of your system onto your chosen media device and retain separately in case of any further enquiries from your auditor.

Bank Statements:

1.Arrange with your bank prior to 31 December to pick up a statement on your FIRST trading day of 2013.
2.Or if you have access to ONLINE BANKING - Print a statement from the closing date of your last bank reconciliation to end of trading on 31 December.
3.This statement must contain all transactions from the last statement you have received to end of trading on 31 December.
4.Referring to your bank statement; receipt all monies paid into the trust account up to and including the 31/12/2012.
5.DO NOT Receipt monies that have been paid at the office or received in the mail.(as these items are not on the bank statement).
6.You should then complete a Bank Reconciliation up to 31/12/2012.
7.Complete and roll over the bank reconciliation.
8.Print another Trust Account Trial Balance, Lessor Trial Balance and a Bond Listing which will include any transactions you entered from your 31/12/2012 bank statement.

   These reports should be kept with the Bank Reconciliation for your Auditor.

Remember: YOU MUST NOT PROCESS ANY 2013 TRANSACTIONS UNTIL THIS IS DONE!

No need to panic, we will be here for December period end as usual.  Our support staff will be available over the Christmas/New Year holiday period with the exceptions being

the following days:

Monday December 24th - Closing at 1:00 PM

Tuesday 25th - Christmas Day Holiday - CLOSED

Wednesday 26th - Boxing Day Holiday - CLOSED

Thursday 27th - 8.30 - 5.00

Friday 28th - 8.30 - 5.00

Monday 31st - Closing at 1:00 PM

Monday 1st - New Years Day Holiday - CLOSED
