The system is designed to use monthly processing periods (see Calendar Convention for more information). At the end of each period, the statements are printed and a period-end processing is carried out where the period number is incremented. A database file stores the name of each processing period. The periods are numbered and the names of each period (e.g. October 2010) are kept in a file.
It is possible to carry out period-end processing twice per month if required. It requires security code access and needs to be done by GeeDee Support Staff adding half periods.
The current processing period is displayed on the initial GeeDee logon screen and must be correct. If this is not correct eg First Period do not proceed any further and contact GeeDee Support Staff.
