Property Inspection Charge
Located in the Property drop down menu, select Inspection Charge.
If the inspection is not for this tenant, use the search keys to find the correct tenant.
Enter the Inspection date.
The date for the next routine inspection is calculated and is equal to the Inspection date (above) plus the inspection frequency (usually 90 days). The operator may change this value if required. If no further inspections for the tenant are required, enter a null date. The property will then appear on the inspection alerts grid for the date set. Enter the inspection fee. The default from the property file will appear automatically. It may be changed to the required amount.
Click on the Post button.
This creates an Lessor charge for the inspection fee. It is stored and processed as with other Lessor Charges where it may be deleted or changed.
Please note that if an inspection charge is created via the Lessor drop down menu under Charges/Refunds this will not update the next inspection date or prompt you to create the report or Lessor letter.
Once a property inspection is completed, the following tasks need to be carried out:
|•||Charge the inspection fee.|
|•||Set the date for the next inspection.|
|•||Enter and record the Inspection Report.|
|•||Print the covering letter.|
